- The California state budget signed by the Governor in September 2023 includes $10 million from funding appropriated in Provision 3 of Item 6100-488 of the Budget Act of 2023 for the Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative (DELPI) Grant Program. A one-time grant award of up to $30,000 per participating administrator candidate are available to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in securing grant funding to support eligible participants to pursue an administrative services credential. The purpose of the grant program is to train, place, and retain diverse and culturally responsive administrators in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, and grades 1 to 12, inclusive, to improve pupil outcomes and meet the needs of California’s education workforce. This funding shall be available for encumbrance until June 30, 2027.
