Integrated Undergraduate Teacher Preparation

General Information

The 2022-2023 Committee on Budget, Education Finance: Education Omnibus Budget Trailer Bill, AB 181, authorizes the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to allocate $20 million in one-time grants to regionally accredited institutions of higher education (IHEs) for four-year integrated teacher preparation programs, including student teaching, and/or to adapt an existing Commission-approved five-year integrated teacher preparation program to a four-year program. These grants support the planning for, creation of, or expansion of four-year integrated programs of professional preparation that produce teachers in the designated shortage fields of special education, bilingual education, science, health, computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, transitional kindergarten, or kindergarten and/or that partner with a California community college to create an integrated program of professional preparation.

Annual Data Submission Information

As part of the mandatory data collection and reporting requirement for the Integrated Undergraduate Teacher Preparation Grant Program, institutions of higher education (IHE) grantees must provide all requested data to the Commission’s for evaluation and reporting.

Please carefully read the information below about how to access and complete the data spreadsheet, and additional resources. Per legislation, annual data is required for five years upon the grant award. Data must be submitted for the following academic/fiscal years: 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28.

The 2026-27 annual report is due by 5:00PM on July 16, 2027. If your team will be gone for summer, make sure the annual data is submitted beforehand with time to submit revisions, as needed.

Directions

The individually shared spreadsheet is managed by the Commission and the data will be updated annually by the IHE grantee lead during the life of the grant. Do not create and share a new spreadsheet with the Commission- it will not be reviewed.

Annual Data Submission: Data for the 2026-27 year is due on July 16, 2027 by 5:00PM. Grantees will no longer need to email IntegratedGrants@ctc.ca.gov to verify that the data reporting requirement has been met. Instead, there is a question on the Summary Narrative tab that collects this information. If your team will be gone for the summer, make sure the annual data is submitted beforehand with time to submit revisions, as needed.
