2022 School Counselor Residency Implementation Grant Program Grant Awards Announcement

The School Counselor Residency Grant Program is authorized by Education Code Section 44415.6. To date, the following funds have been allocated in the annual California state budgets:

  • 2022: $184 million for Teacher Residency Implementation/Expansion and School Counselor Residency Capacity and Implementation Grants.
  • 2022: $66 million for Teacher Residency Implementation/Expansion and School Counselor Residency Capacity and Implementation Grants (realized in 2025).
