The information is primarily intended for institutions of higher education and local education agencies that offer or seek to offer preparation programs for California educators.

The Division of Standards, Accreditation, and Workforce Investment (DSAWI) is responsible for:

  • the development of California's educator preparation standards for all credential areas
  • ensuring quality of preparation programs through accreditation activities
  • administration of California's state funded educator development grants and programs
