Education Code (EC) §44258.9 requires that the Commission on Teacher Credentialing biennially report to the Governor and Legislature the result of assignment monitoring for certificated employees in California as submitted by the County Offices of Education. The 2016 Assignment Monitoring Report includes data for California's lowest performing schools ranked in Deciles 1, 2 and 3 of the 2009 Base Academic Performance Index (API) for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic years (excluding charter schools). In addition, this report includes assignment monitoring data for certificated staff in all California public schools (excluding charter schools). This data is collected on a four-year monitoring cycle and includes aggregate data from the 2011-2012 through 2014-2015 academic years.

The CalEd grant awards that were scheduled to be announced on December 8, 2017, will be announced at a later date due to the high volume of responses received. The Commission thanks applicants for their understanding and patience as the grant review and award processes are being completed.  The Commission will post the Grant Award announcement on or before January 6, 2018

The Bilingual Authorizations data dashboard is now available. 

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing wants to congratulate Dr. Anna Moore and Dr. Bob Frelly on their appointment as Co-chairs of the Commission’s COA.

The December 7-8, 2017 Commission Meeting agenda is now available.

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking appointment to fill three (3) School Board Member alternate positions on the Committee of Credentials.  The Committee reviews allegations of misconduct against educators.    A copy of the application can be found on the Committee of Credentials page.

The Commission has updated the Data and Reports section of the website to better assist individuals in searching for information available in data dashboards and reports.  The most notable changes are the new look and improved functionality of the Educator Preparation Programs and Subject Matter Preparation Programs dashboards available on the Approved Programs and Institutions page.  For information on how to use the dashboards, please visit the Commission’s “How to Use Dashboards” page to access the tutorial videos.
