The Commission on Teacher Credentialing has one School Board Member vacancy on the Committee of Credentials. The Committee reviews allegations of misconduct against educators. Applications are due by March 30, 2017.

The review of the second round of proposals for the integrated undergraduate teacher preparation planning grants has been completed. There are six proposals that may be fundable pending additional information that must be submitted by each of the institutions. None of the other proposals submitted met the requirements of the grant.

Required by Education Code §44373, the Committee on Accreditation annual report summarizes the accomplishments, activities and plans of the past year.

Annual Report Card on California Teacher Preparation Programs for the Academic Year 2014-2015 as required by Title II of the Higher Education Act was presented to the Commission at the October 2016 meeting. Full report can be accessed here [PDF].

This report presents data, trends and patterns in numbers of services credentials, permits and waivers issued in the past five years.

This agenda item presents the passing rates for Commission-approved examinations over the past five years, 2010-2011 through 2014-2015. The purpose of each examination, the structure, the scoring process, the volume, and the first-time and cumulative passing rates are discussed in detail.

Pursuant to SB 173 (Chap. 545, Stats. 2014), this report provides an overview and comparison of the requirements for instructors of adult education at K-12 schools and at community colleges in California. The report was prepared jointly by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges.

AB 471 requires that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers. This report provides data collected by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (Commission) and addresses several questions regarding the supply of teachers newly available to teach in California classrooms.
