    January 2015 Statistic: Bilingual Teachers Prepared in California by Language: 2009-10 to 2012-13

    In 2009-10 more than 1,200 teachers earned a bilingual authorization. In 2012-13, the number of bilingual authorized teachers certified dropped to less than 900, a decline of 35 percent between 2009-10 and 2012-13.
