The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications to fill one (1) Public Member vacancy and School Board Member, Elementary Teacher, and Secondary Teacher alternate positions on the Committee of Credentials.  Applications can be found on the Committee of Credentials page.

Committee of Credentials member Tillie Soliz attended her final Committee meeting last week. She was a long-time, dedicated member of the Committee from 2010-2018. Her thoughtful presence will be missed by her colleagues and the staff here at the Commission. The Committee of Credentials work to investigate claims of misconduct. The California Center on Teaching Careers has announced the grantee’s for the CalEd grant awards on its website. This grant funds 32 proposals across 26 local education agencies supporting both teachers and administrators across the state.

The California Center on Teaching Careers will post the notice of CalEd grant awards on its website on or before January 26, 2018. The delay in notification has resulted from the large number of grant applications received and the recent holiday vacation period for staff. The Center appreciates the patience and understanding of the CalEd grant applicants.

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications to fill two (2) Public Member vacancies, one (1) Elementary Teacher vacancy, and School Board Member and Secondary Teacher alternate positions on the Committee of Credentials. 

The Commission has updated the Services Credentials data dashboard to provide additional information and better access to the data.

The Designated Subjects Teaching Credentials data dashboard is now available.

Education Code (EC) §44258.9 requires that the Commission on Teacher Credentialing biennially report to the Governor and Legislature the result of assignment monitoring for certificated employees in California as submitted by the County Offices of Education. The 2016 Assignment Monitoring Report includes data for California's lowest performing schools ranked in Deciles 1, 2 and 3 of the 2009 Base Academic Performance Index (API) for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic years (excluding charter schools). In addition, this report includes assignment monitoring data for certificated staff in all California public schools (excluding charter schools). This data is collected on a four-year monitoring cycle and includes aggregate data from the 2011-2012 through 2014-2015 academic years.
