Coded Correspondence 18-08: Proposed Amendments to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations Pertaining to Administrative Services Credentials is now available.

The Commission is pleased to announce its intent to fund 5 LEAs for the Teacher Residency Expansion Grants. This funding will support LEAs to expand current LEA-IHE Teacher Residency partnerships to prepare special education, STEM, and/or bilingual residents.

The Commission is pleased to announce its intent to fund 41 LEAS for the Local Solutions to the Shortage of Special Education Teachers Grant. This funding will support LEAs to implement local solutions to recruit, prepare, develop support systems for, and retain special education teachers. Funding letters will be sent to grant recipients by early January 2019.

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications to fill one (1) Secondary Teacher vacancy and one (1) School Administrator vacancy on the Committee of Credentials.  The final filing date for applications is January 14, 2019.
