AB 471 requires that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers. This report provides data collected by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (Commission) and addresses several questions regarding the supply of teachers newly available to teach in California classrooms.

Update on the Commission’s Data Dashboards
The English Learner Authorizations data dashboard is now available. The Commission has also updated the Educator Supply and Demand Statewide Snapshot, Teacher Supply: Teaching Credentials and Teacher Supply: Interns, Permits and Waivers data dashboards. Long-time Committee of Credentials Member Retiring
Committee of Credentials member Tillie Soliz attended her final Committee meeting last week. She was a long-time, dedicated member of the Committee from 2010-2018. Her thoughtful presence will be missed by her colleagues and the staff here at the Commission. The Committee of Credentials work to investigate claims of misconduct. The California Center on Teaching Careers has announced the grantee’s for the CalEd grant awards on its website. This grant funds 32 proposals across 26 local education agencies supporting both teachers and administrators across the state.
