AB 471 requires that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers. This report provides data collected by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (Commission) and addresses several questions regarding the supply of teachers newly available to teach in California classrooms.

The Request for Offer (RFO) for RFO# 17RFO005 - Consultant to assist the Commission to complete the Database Consolidation Project which will convert CTC’s Siebel applications from running on Oracle to SQL has been posted. The event posted in Cal eProcure under event# 0000009131.

The April 11-13, 2018 Commission Agenda is now available.

The English Learner Authorizations data dashboard is now available. The Commission has also updated the Educator Supply and Demand Statewide Snapshot, Teacher Supply: Teaching Credentials and Teacher Supply: Interns, Permits and Waivers data dashboards.  To download data available on the dashboards, go to the Accessible Data section at the bottom of the webpage.  

Coded Correspondence 18-02: Proposed Amendments to Title 5 Regulations Pertaining to the Single Induction Experience for New Teachers is now available.

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications to fill one (1) Public Member vacancy and School Board Member, Elementary Teacher, and Secondary Teacher alternate positions on the Committee of Credentials.  Applications can be found on the Committee of Credentials page.

Committee of Credentials member Tillie Soliz attended her final Committee meeting last week. She was a long-time, dedicated member of the Committee from 2010-2018. Her thoughtful presence will be missed by her colleagues and the staff here at the Commission. The Committee of Credentials work to investigate claims of misconduct. The California Center on Teaching Careers has announced the grantee’s for the CalEd grant awards on its website. This grant funds 32 proposals across 26 local education agencies supporting both teachers and administrators across the state.
