    PIP/STSP Online Submission

    A new User Guide has been created to assist employing agencies with the process of submitting applications for Provisional Internship (PIP) and Short-Term Staff (STSP) Permits using CTC Online. This new User Guide can be found on the CTC Online page in the CIG under the “CTC Online Resources” heading.

    Committee of Credentials Alternates Needed

    The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications for alternates to fill positions on the Committee of Credentials in the event of an unanticipated vacancy.  In particular, the Commission needs alternates for the secondary teacher position.  The Committee reviews allegations of misconduct against educators.  Please forward this information to any interested applicants.  A copy of the application can be found on the Committee of Credentials page.

    Credential Information Alerts (CIAs) 19-02 and 19-03

    CIA 19-02: Approved Regulations Regarding Extensions by Appeal for Teaching Credentials and CIA 19-03: Approved Regulations Regarding Teacher Induction Programs and the Issuance of New Type Clear Credentials above are now available online for review in the CIG). These CIAs provide additional details related to the recently approved amendments to regulations in connection with extensions by appeal and teacher induction programs as announced in Coded Correspondence 19-04.

    Teacher Supply in California - A Report to the Legislature. Annual Report 2017-2018

    AB 471 requires that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers. This report provides data collected by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (Commission) and addresses several questions regarding the supply of teachers newly available to teach in California classrooms.
