Live Webcast Presentation: The Commission meeting will be webcast via the internet. Access the broadcast on the CTC Meetings page. While the Commission intends to webcast this meeting, it may not be possible to webcast all or part of the open meeting due to technical issues or limitations on resources.
Ad Hoc Committee: The COA and COC Ad Hoc Committee Interviews will take place Wednesday, April 10, 2019. The Commission room will be open to the public but the committee meeting will not be broadcast live. The archive of the interviews will be available beginning Thursday, April 11, 2019.

1A: Interview and Recommendation of Members/Alternates to the Secondary Teacher Position for the Committee of Credentials
This agenda item provides information about the selection process for appointments to the Committee of Credentials. Applications submitted to the Commission prior to the posting of this item are attached. Any additional applications will be brought in an insert on the day of the meeting.

1B: Interview, Recommendation, and Appointment of Members for the Committee on Accreditation
This agenda item provides information about the finalists for open positions on the Committee on Accreditation (COA). After interviewing the finalists from institutions of higher education and K-12, the Ad Hoc Committee will select three individuals to recommend to the Commission for appointment to the COA and may recommend additional individuals as alternates.

2A: Proposed 2020 and 2021 Commission Meeting Schedules
This agenda item presents proposed meeting schedules for 2020 and 2021. The Executive Committee will consider and recommend a schedule of meetings to the full Commission for approval.

This agenda item presents, as part of the Initial Institutional Approval process, Alameda County Office of Education’s responses to the Eligibility Requirements for consideration and possible approval by the Commission.

4B: Discussion and Potential Adoption of Proposed Preconditions, Program Standards and Performance Expectations for Pupil Personnel Services Credential Programs
This agenda item brings proposed revised Pupil Personnel Services preconditions, program standards, and performance expectations for the Commission’s consideration and adoption. In addition, it presents a proposed plan and timeline for programs to transition to the new standards and requirements.

This agenda item provides an update on the work group convened by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the California Department of Education to examine Career Technical Education in California. This item provides the members of the work group and an overview of the panel work to date.

4G: Appeal of the Accreditation Decision by Summit Preparatory Charter High School
This agenda item is an appeal made by Summit Preparatory Charter High School as to an accreditation decision made by the Committee on Accreditation. By statute, the Commission has the responsibility to hear and resolve any appeals of a Committee decision.

4H: Teacher Supply in California, 2017-18 A Report to the Legislature
This agenda item is in response to Education Code §44225.6 which requires the Commission to report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers to teach in California public schools. In addition to the written Teacher Supply report, staff has recently developed dashboards on teacher supply that will be demonstrated during the presentation of this agenda item.
