The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

The term of this credential extension is limited by the term of the prerequisite credential. To renew this credential extension for the remainder of the one-year appeal period, the holder must renew the prerequisite credential. During the full one-year period of this credential extension, the holder must complete the requirements listed.
