The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

This is the holder's one-time two-year reinstatement of his or her professional clear credential. Before another five-year professional clear credential will be issued, the holder must verify completion of 100 clock hours of planned and approved professional growth activities as specified in The California Professional Growth Manual since the last five-year professional clear credential was issued.
