The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

If the holder is again unable to satisfy the Basic Skills Requirement, he or she must submit verification in the form of official transcripts or letters from employers of the course work, in-service training, tutoring, or other activities completed in an attempt to satisfy the Basic Skills Requirement, and must apply through the employing district, county, or agency.
