The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

  • In addition to completing the waived requirement(s), to qualify for the emergency permit which authorizes this service, the holder must seek admission to a college or university that has a Commission-approved program for both the clear credential which authorizes this service and the teaching credential which is a prerequisite, and must apply through the employing district, county, or agency.
