The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.
Here are some examples of where the renewal code can be found on your credential if it was issued prior to September 1, 2008:

To renew this permit, the holder must verify the employer was informed of the need for an assessment of his or her job-related skills as described in the Prelingually Deaf Candidates: The Basic Skills Test Exemption. The employing agency must enclose a letter verifying agreement in providing the assessment by a three member panel verifying the holder's proficiency on the job.
