The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

  • For the first renewal of this credential, the holder must complete a minimum of twelve semester hours of course work applicable toward the preliminary or clear credential which authorizes this service, must pass an assessment in the target language, and must apply through the employing district, county, or agency.
