The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

  • To renew this credential, the holder must complete the requirements specified by her or his California college or university and must receive a formal recommendation from that college or university. When all requirements have been completed, the holder will be eligible for a clear credential.
