The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

Before the end of four years following the issuance date of this document, the holder must verify that he or she has completed the following requirements:#R;#U;#E. The holder must submit verification of completion of these requirements to the Commission. Failure to verify completion of the above requirements will result in inactivation of this document. The holder and the employer will be notified during the fourth year if verification has not been received. Before the end of the five-year preliminary time period, the holder must also complete the following requirements:#F;#Y;#H;#M;#C. When all requirements have been completed, the holder will be eligible for the clear credential.
