The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

Here are some examples of where the renewal code can be found on your credential if it was issued prior to September 1, 2008:

Within the first year of the issuance date of this document, the holder must satisfy the Basic Skills Requirement. Failure to satisfy the Basic Skills Requirement will result in inactivation of this document. The holder and employer will be notified approximately one month prior to inactivation if the test results are not automatically provided to the Commission by the testing agency.
