The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

To renew this emergency permit, the holder must: (1) pass either Test 4 or Test 5 or all parts of Test 6 of the CLAD/BCLAD exam, if these tests, or their equivalent, were not passed before this permit was issued--if already passed, three semester units of coursework for the CLAD Certificate may be substituted; (2) pass Test 1 or Test 2 or Test 3 of the CLAD/BCLAD exam, if these tests, or their equivalent, were not passed before this permit was issued--if already passed, or if the holder opts to complete coursework in lieu of taking the tests, three semester units of coursework for the CLAD Certificate may be substituted; and (3) apply for renewal through the employing agency which must verify that the holder was provided with an experienced educator to guide and assist the holder throughout the term of this permit.
