The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

To renew this credential, the holder must complete the requirement for successful teaching by teaching a minimum of one course in each of four terms within the valid period of the preliminary credential, including at least two terms with one employing school district.
