Renewal Codes

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.

Here are some examples of where the renewal code can be found on your credential if it was issued prior to September 1, 2008:

The holder of this emergency permit has used the appeal available one time only to applicants who, due to exceptional circumstances, were unable to take and pass the required test(s) or complete the required course work for renewal. The appropriate test(s) must be passed or course work completed for each subsequent renewal of this emergency permit.
