Glossary

Originally issued under the provisions of law (Fisher Act) beginning in 1961 and available to first-time applicants until September 15, 1974 and under certain conditions until 1976. The Standards wer issued under a two-tier system. Most individuals who qualified for their initial credential were issued a partial credential and, after completing additional requirements, were issued a clear (or full) credential. These credentials are no longer issued on an initial basis but renewals are issued to the holders of clear Standard Credentials. Also see Pre-Ryan Credentials.
