  • Clear Credential

  • A Clear Credential is a teaching credential with no further academic requirements to be completed. Clear credentials may be renewed with only submission of an application and current processing fees. Clear credential were issued prior to September 1, 1985 when professional growth requirements were added as a prerequisite to credential renewal. With the implementation of Senate Bill 1209, signed by Governor Schwarzenegger September 28, 2006, professional growth requirements are no longer a prerequisite to renewal and the Commission once again began to issue clear credentials.
