  • Specially Designed Academic Instruction Delivered in English (SDAIE)

  • SDAIE is one component of a comprehensive program for English learners, consisting of a variety of strategies, techniques, and materials specially designed to provide students at an intermediate or advanced level of English proficiency access to grade-level core curriculum in English. SDAIE instruction must be provided by a teacher who has a credential appropriate to the assignment (e.g., a CLAD Emphasis credential, a CLAD Certificate, or current training for such an authorization or an authorization issued under previous policy).
