The order of business within each day may be changed without notice. All items may be re-ordered to be heard on any day of the noticed meeting. Persons wishing to address the Commission on Teacher Credentialing on a subject to be considered at this meeting are asked to complete a Request Card and give it to the Recording Secretary prior to the discussion of the item.

This agenda item presents information about the proposed new Education Specialist Teaching Specialty Area authorization.  In addition, this item clarifies the differences between the new proposed teaching authorization and the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.

2E: Report on Commission Funded Programs: Paraprofessional and Intern Local Assistance Programs
This agenda items is provided in two parts. First, the Commission is required to submit an annual report on the California Paraprofessional Teacher Training Program and a draft is submitted for Commission consideration.  The second part provides an informational update on the Alternative Certification (Intern) Program, including the 2009-2010 statistics on the program and the impact of flexible state funding provisions.
