In April 2008, the Commission approved a plan to review and update, if necessary, the program standards for the Reading Certificate and the Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential. This agenda item presents draft program standards to the Commission for initial review.

Dr. Pam Grossman will present findings from research on the preparation of teachers, clergy and clinical psychologists. She will explore how the preparation of other professionals can stimulate discussions among educators about how to learn from each other as we strive to improve the preparation of novices within teacher education.
