The order of business within each day may be changed without notice. All items may be re-ordered to be heard on any day of the noticed meeting. Persons wishing to address the Commission on Teacher Credentialing on a subject to be considered at this meeting are asked to complete a Request Card and give it to the Recording Secretary prior to the discussion of the item.

3A: Proposed Adoption of Revised Experimental Program Standards
This agenda item presents the proposed revised Experimental Program Standards for Commission adoption. 


3B: Report to the Legislature and the Governor on Career Technical Education (CTE)
This report presents the Legislative Report on Career Technical Education as required by SB 52 (Chap. 520, Stats. 2007) for Commission approval. Upon approval by the Commission, staff will transmit the report to the Legislature.

3C: Program Approval and Initial Institutional Approval
This agenda report presents recommendations for approval of proposals submitted by local education agencies and institutions of higher education for single subject matter programs. 


3D: Update on the Induction Standards Review
This item presents information from the initial meeting of the Induction Standards Design Team which is charged with reviewing and revising the Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Professional Teacher Induction Programs as required by SB 1209 (Chap. 527, Stats. 2006). 


3E: Proposed Revisions to Teacher Preparation Program Standards 7A, 7B, and 8B (d)
This agenda item presents proposed revisions to teacher preparation program standards 7A, 7B, and 8B(d) in order to align these program standards with revised RICA specifications adopted by the Commission as well as with the new state Reading/Language Arts Framework.  The item also provides a discussion of potential implementation options for both the standards and the RICA examination. 


3F: Numbers of Services Credentials Issued in California, 2001-2002 to 2005-2006
This agenda item presents trends and patterns in numbers of services credentials issued in the past five years.

Section 610 of the Commission Policy Manual (Contract Authority) requires that agreements or contracts of $150,000 or more be approved by the Commission. This item presents agreements that require approval.
