This agenda item presents the proposed Accreditation Framework for adoption. In addition, the item provides an update on the implementation of the revised accreditation system.
3C: Proposed Approval to Release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Revision of the Reading Instruction Competence Assessment (RICA) Examination and Plan to Revise Teacher Preparation Program Standard 7
This agenda item presents: a) a plan to review and revise Program Standard 7 for the Multiple and Single Subject Teaching Credentials, and b) a request to release an RFP for the revision of the RICA Examination to align with the newly adopted content specifications.

This item presents proposed amendments to Commission policy for Commission consideration and adoption to require all interns complete foundational preparation before an Intern Credential is issued. In order to meet NCLB "Highly Qualified" status, all interns must complete pre-service preparation.
