
Juliet Wahleithner
Division Director, Research, Evaluation, and Assessment
Dr. Juliet Michelsen Wahleithner serves as the Director of the Division of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment at the Commission for Teacher Credentialing, which houses the Center for Educator Workforce Development. Prior to joining the Commission, Juliet was an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at California State University, Fresno, where she also served as the Director of Educator Preparation and Accreditation. Juliet holds a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Language, Literacy, and Culture and a Designated Emphasis in Writing, Rhetoric, and Composition from UC Davis. While in graduate school, she worked on research and evaluation projects focused on pre-service and in-service teacher development. Juliet also has a long history of involvement with the California Writing Project, including, most recently, directing the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project at Fresno State and serving on the California Writing Project Executive Team. Juliet began her career as a high school English and journalism teacher at Lodi Unified.

Kristin Calderone
Research, Evaluation, and Assessment
Kristin Calderone is an Education Research and Evaluation Consultant at the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and a 2025 Fellow of the Strategic Data Project out of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. She earned a Master of Science in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Data Science at Indiana University where she designed and taught a programming course to support diverse students in Computer Science and other STEM programs. She served as a classroom AVID Tutor at a large, urban high school in Tampa, Florida during her undergraduate studies. Since joining CTC in 2023, Kristin supports the Commission's data sharing and analytic initiatives with a focus on retaining teacher candidates and strengthening educator preparation.

Adam Ebrahim
Chief Deputy Director
Adam Ebrahim is Chief Deputy Director at the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, where he leads efforts to strengthen California’s educator workforce and build coherent, data-informed systems of preparation and credentialing.
He began his career teaching English, History, and Social Science in Fresno Unified, where he helped launch an International Baccalaureate program and led curriculum and assessment alignment across grade-level teams. He then served
as a literacy consultant with the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, supporting districts in curriculum design, assessment literacy, and strategies for English learners.
Adam co-directed the California Labor Management
Initiative, developing statewide supports that brought labor and management leaders together to improve teaching and learning conditions. As Director of LCAP and Continuous Improvement in San Juan Unified, he guided districtwide
strategic planning and helped embed improvement practices into daily operations. At the California Teachers Association, he supported elected leaders by advancing professional learning systems, managing policy development, and
providing technical assistance on workforce issues across the state.
Across these roles, Adam has worked to build durable systems that honor educators, strengthen collaboration, and improve outcomes for students.
