2021 Teacher Residency Implementation and Expansion Grant Program Grant Awards Announcement
Grant Announcement
The Teacher Residency Grant Program is authorized by Education Code Section 44415.5. To date, the following funds have been allocated in the annual California state budgets:
- 2021: $350 million for Teacher Residency Capacity and Implementation/Expansion Grants.
- 2022: $184 million for Teacher Residency Implementation/Expansion and School Counselor Residency Capacity and Implementation Grants.
- 2022: $66 million for Teacher Residency Implementation/Expansion and School Counselor Residency Capacity and Implementation Grants (realized in 2025).
- 2025: $70 million for Teacher Residency Implementation and Expansion Grants.
