Educator Preparation Program Sponsors

The Division of Standards, Accreditation, and Workforce Investment (DSAWI) is intended for colleges, universities, districts, county offices of education, and charter schools that offer or seek to offer preparation programs for California educators. DSAWI is responsible for development of educator preparation standards, oversight and implementation of the educator preparation program accreditation system to review, approve, and ensure the quality of all California programs, and administration of grant programs and workforce investments to support teacher recruitment and retention.
