Programs Office Hours
The Division of Standards, Accreditation, and Workforce Investment hosts a variety of office hours to provide technical assistance and support the sharing of best practices. Please see below for a list of topics and schedule.
Individuals who plan to record video or audio, or use a transcription service or other notetaking bot or AI must notify staff and attendees of their intent prior to launching such recording, transcription, and/or notetaking or AI. Unidentified bots or other AI will be removed from the meeting space. This message serves as a notification that no transcription should be relied upon as a source of expert information from the Commission. No transcriptions should be reproduced and disseminated as a source of official Commission information.

SB 488 Literacy Certification Office Hours
Pursuant to Senate Bill 488 (Chap. 678, Stats 2021) the Commission is required to certify that all Preliminary Multiple Subject, Education Specialist, and PK-3 ECE Specialist Instruction credential programs are providing instruction aligned to the statutory requirements of Education Code Section 44259(b)(4)(A) and (B).
With the submission date of October 4, the SB 488 Literacy Certification office hours are no longer being offered regularly; however, Commission staff are happy to meet with any institution needing guidance or assistance. Institutions may contact staff by emailing SB488Certification@ctc.ca.gov and are encouraged to review the information and FAQs posted on the Literacy and Reading Instruction webpage.
