Sojourn Certificated Employee Teaching Credential

A Sojourn Credential is a teaching credential issued to bilingual teachers trained outside the United States, typically in a country in which English is not the primary language. This credential authorizes the holder to provide bilingual instruction in the subject or area listed on the credential, foreign language instruction in the target language named on the credential, and instruction in cultural enrichment. Candidates must pass CBEST within the first year they hold the credential.
