Advanced Teaching English Learners

All MS and SS teachers must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to teach English learners. Advanced teaching of English Learners requires teachers to demonstrate advanced levels of skills, including planning, instruction, and assessment, in assisting English learners to succeed in the state's adopted K-12 student academic content standards and performance levels. Assembly Bill 1059 (Ducheny) added this requirement as of June 30, 2005.
