Proposed Amendments to California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Pertaining to Requirements and Authorization for the Adapted Physical Education Added Authorization

The proposed action would amend the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, §80046.1 and update §80692 by changing the term Adapted Physical Education Added Authorization (APEAA) back to Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credential (APESC). This proposed revision amends the title of the APE credential without altering any of the necessary credential requirements. The regulations were approved by Office of Administrative Law on December 12, 2025 and will become effective on April 1, 2026.
