Child Development Permit Authorizations
Commission-issued Children’s Center and Child Development Permits authorize either:
- Instruction, which includes the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program, or
- Instruction and Supervision, which includes the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program; coordination of curriculum and staff development; plus supervision of a child development program.

School Age Emphasis
School Age Emphasis may be added to any Child Development Permit. School Age Emphasis expands the holder’s authorization to include providing services in the care, development, and instruction of children in before-school, after-school, and other school-age child care programs.
