The Division of Licensure Certification is responsible for evaluating and processing applications for credentials, permits, certificates, and waivers that authorize instruction and service in California’s public schools. The Division of Licensure Certification specializes in specific requirements for credential documents issued, waiver requests, and monitoring certificated assignments in collaboration with county offices of education.

With the launch of the Commission’s new website, the Credential Information Guide (CIG) has been decommissioned. All resources previously found on the CIG have been incorporated into the new website. Please use the Tools and Resources link below to locate items formerly listed on the CIG.
