The Individualized Teacher Preparation Plan (ITPP) has been part of the requirements for the holder of a Level I Education Specialist Credential since 1997. 

The Transition Plan and the Individualized Induction Plan (IIP) were added in regulations effective June 26, 2010 for the Preliminary Education Specialist Credential. Holders of Level I Education Specialist Credentials who choose to earn a clear credential through an induction program must work with their employing agency and program sponsor to complete an IIP.
