Renewing Your Credential
1. Renew Your Credential On-Line
Credentials renewed online are processed faster than applications submitted by mail, usually within 10 working days. All Clear, Professional, and Professional Clear credentials must be renewed online. Emergency 30 Day Substitute Permits and Child Development Permits may be renewed online. All others must be submitted by mail.
Do not renew online if you have already submitted an application for the same credential by mail. Fees for duplicate applications are not refundable.
2. Submit Your Application by Mail
If your credential does not meet the online renewal criteria, you will be required to renew your application by mail. Some credentials and permits may require you to file your renewal application through your employing agency or institution of higher education.

Credential Renewal Statements
Each credential and permit is issued with a renewal code and renewal statement. Obtain an explanation of the renewal code(s) listed on your credential or permit.
