I completed the CLAD course work or passed the CLAD exams. Can you send me an application package so that I may apply for the CLAD Certificate?
You can download and complete the application [PDF] and mail it with the current processing fee to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, P.O. Box 944270, Sacramento, CA 94244-2700. Please be sure to include official transcripts for all course work supporting your request.

I have a bilingual endorsement on my out-of-state credential and want to apply for the BCLAD Certificate based on equivalency. What should I do?
In order to obtain the BCLAD Certificate, in addition to your out-of-state equivalency, you must take and pass the CTEL/BCLAD Exams numbered 4, 5, & 6. Although the Commission has verified CLAD equivalency with other states, there are no provisions in California's Education Code or Title 5 Regulations that allow equivalency for BCLAD authorizations.

I completed a CLAD Emphasis program but was not recommended for a CLAD Emphasis Credential because I did not complete the second-language requirement. The second-language requirement is no longer needed, but my college states that due to Commission policies they cannot recommend me. What should I do?

I completed CLAD course work at three different institutions. Will you accept my courses for a CLAD Certificate?
The Commission will evaluate all course work submitted from regionally-accredited institutions to support your request for a CLAD Certificate, as long as the course work was completed by January 31, 2008. You will need to complete the application [PDF] and send it with the current processing fee to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, P.O. Box 944270, Sacramento, CA 94244-2700. Please be sure to include all official transcripts and course syllabi and/or course outlines for all course work supporting your request. We will evaluate the content of your course work for CLAD Certificate requirements.
