Title
Adapted Physical Education Specialist
Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credentials allow the holder to provide instruction and services to individuals with exceptional needs who are precluded from participation in the activities of a general physical education program or a specially designed physical education program in a special class, and require developmental or corrective services in grades 12 and below (including preschool), and in classes organized primarily for adults. This credential requires the holder to possess a valid teaching credential.
Information for All Candidates
The Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credential can only be issued to individuals who have completed a Commission-approved professional preparation program at a California college or university and obtaining their formal recommendation for the credential.
