In addition, the item provides data on the numbers of individuals earning credentials to teach mathematics, the mathematics subject matter requirements, the passing rates of the CSET mathematics examination, pedagogical preparation to teach mathematics, and how students in the public schools are scoring on the standardized mathematics examinations.   Information Update on the Review of the Reading Certificate and Reading Language Arts Specialist Credential Requirements and Program √ Listen 2E This agenda item provides information about the activities of the Reading Language Arts Specialist Credential Advisory Panel and reports on the panel's first meeting.   Information Discussion of the Concept of a Third Tier Teaching Credential 2F This item introduces the concept of a third tier teaching credential for Commission consideration. Staff will describe the origins of this concept and report on a brainstorming meeting held with stakeholders.
