After review, the Committee may approve, or amend and approve the minutes.   Action Consideration of Credential Appeals 1B Consideration of credential appeals is held pursuant to Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 80514. Hearings are conducted pursuant to Government Code Section 11126(c) and Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 80516.   Action Waivers: Consent Calendar 1C These waiver requests have been reviewed by staff and meet the criteria adopted by the Commission.   Action Waivers: Conditions Calendar 1D These waiver requests have been reviewed by staff on the basis of criteria adopted by the Commission and special conditions for subsequent waivers are included.   Action Waivers: Denial Calendar 1E These waiver requests do not meet the criteria for inclusion on a consent calendar and will be considered on an individual basis.   General Session 10:30 a.m The Commission will immediately convene into Closed Session. The Commission will meet in Closed Session pursuant to California Government Code Section 11126 as well as California Education Code Sections 44245 and 44248. After review, the Commission may approve, or amend and approve the Consent Calendar.   Information Chair's Report 2D Information Executive Director's Report 2E Information Additions to Title 5 Regulations Pertaining to Degree Authorizations [PDF] Agenda Insert for Item 2F (Approximately 7.5 Mb) (Posted 3-24-2004) 2F At the request of the Commission, staff met with stakeholders to discuss proposed additions to Title 5, California Code of Regulations pertaining to degree authorizations and how they align with the "highly qualified" teacher requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). This position will become vacant on June 30, 2004.   Legislative Committee of the Whole Beth Hauk, Committee Chair Action/Information Status of Legislation of Interest to the Commission [PDF] 4A Staff will present the status of legislative measures that have a position adopted by the Commission.   Action/Information Analyses of Bills of Interest to the Commission [PDF] 4B Staff will present analyses of educator preparation or licensing bills introduced by legislators. The analyses will summarize current law, describe the bill's provisions, estimate its costs, recommend amendments if applicable, and propose a recommendation. The Commission will be asked to take a position on the measures.
